Sub scrivere literally means “to write underneath”, “to sign at the bottom”. Originally, it didn't refer so much to a purchase as to taking a stance, making a commitment, sealing a pact, embracing a cause.


In the same way, subscribing to FMR isn't so much about buying gorgeous magazines as about joining a - hopefully ever-growing - group of people who reject banality and love to seek out hidden beauty.
